How Long Does It Take to Write a Book?

Just as the cost of ghostwriting is affected by several different factors, so is the length of time required to get the project completed. This can be anywhere from 30 days to nine months, depending on the process used and the unique obstacles involved.

At Author Bridge Media, we are able to complete a 400-page book in 30 days. This, however, is the ideal, as other issues come into play, including author availability to review and approve the manuscript. In general, this is the timeline that we provide our clients.

50-page e-book: One to two months to complete the manuscript

120-page book: Two to three months to complete the manuscript

240-page book: Three to five months to complete the manuscript

Design of the book can take anywhere from one week to six weeks, depending on the length of the book. And, finally, printing can take anywhere from two to six weeks.
